FAC Agri · Mushroom farming

Grown with care.
Measured honestly.

FAC Agri is planning a small, controlled white button mushroom pilot in Uttar Pradesh. We are designing and validating first, so that every decision about scale is based on recorded results, not assumptions.

Status: Pilot in planningVisit the FAC Agri shop

The approach

  • White button mushroom first, grown indoors on prepared compost and treated casing in a climate-controlled room.
  • Temperature, humidity and carbon dioxide logged continuously, with alarms.
  • Clean handling, traceable batch records and prompt chilling after harvest.
  • Oyster mushroom is deferred to a separate room and climate zone in the future.

Where it stands

  • Design and validation stage. No equipment has been bought and no production has started.
  • No produce is on sale. Buyer conversations will follow the first trial batch.
  • We welcome conversations with growers, suppliers and potential buyers.

The pilot plan

Six gates before we scale.

  1. 00

    Survey

Measure the room, record day and night temperature and humidity, and log power interruptions.

  2. 01

    Engineering design

Cooling and ventilation loads, insulation, fresh-air and exhaust, sensors and alarms - reviewed by professionals.

  3. 02

    Procurement

Two or three quotations per major item, and verified compost and casing suppliers.

  4. 03

    Build and commission

Clean, insulate and fit out the room, then run a 72-hour empty-room test against the planned settings.

  5. 04

    First batch

A small trial batch, with yield, quality, losses and running costs recorded from actual figures.

  6. 05

    Market review

Buyers, cold chain and real unit costs decide whether to repeat, adjust or scale.

What we will not do

  • We make no health, nutritional or medicinal claims.
  • No food will be sold before the right FSSAI registration or licence, labelling and packaging are in place.
  • We do not publish yields, prices or certifications such as organic until they are real and verified.
  • Planning timelines are indicative, as a biological crop does not run to a guaranteed calendar.
